Nomes e Apelidos



Olhando os resultados de todas as corridas realizadas no Brasil, de 1960 a 1970, vocês vão notar nomes bem interessantes, tanto de pilotos como de carros. Na verdade são apelidos, que se tornaram nomes de inscrição (tanto para os carros, como para os pilotos), tais como (pilotos), Jaú, Pardal, Brucutu, Coruja, Toco, Águia, Áquila, Arquimedes, Santo, Zé Peixinho, Mago, Mustache, Bigode, Volante Audaz, Chuvisco, Dr. Jivago (ele se achava "sinistro"), Volante 13 (ele adotou esse nome, para esconder da família - principalmente da mãe - que ele corria), Joluan, Rio Negro, O'Hara (era muito comum o carro de corrida ficar na casa do piloto ou na oficina da equipe - tem uma história, que o carro do O'Hara estava estacionado e precisava ser retirado da frente de uma casa, e uma determinada pessoa foi avisar o piloto: "seu zero hora, dá para puxar o carro!!!" - e ai o O'Hara - que já era um apelido, ficou conhecido, também, como Zero Hora), Marinho, Toninho Martins e Toni Bianco. Já os carros, tinha: Alfa-Romeo-Corvette (também chamado de Duchen Especial), Fúria-FNM, Landi-Bianco Gordini, Snob's, Ovo de Codorna, Mickey Mouse (era um DKW com chassis cortado, ficando um DKW pequeno, que ganhava em circuitos de rua), Renault-Rabo-Quente (sempre com a tampa do motor semi aberta), Zé-do-Caixão, Alfazoni, Kinko, Tempestade, Perereca e Patinho Feio (alguns deles com mais de uma versão - era para horrorizar). A foto ao lado era do Bino (também conhecido como Christian Heins). Claro, que na pista poucos pilotos eram chamados pelo nome e sim pelos apelidos, contudo, na classificação e na ficha de inscrição vinha o nome como José Carlos Pace e não Moco, ou Fittipaldi e não Rato, e assim por diante. But... Volante 13 era Volante 13 mesmo e fim de papo!
